Project: ANCPT

You are the fuel, the fire, and the fodder.

ANCPT (Anticipation) is an ongoing body of sculptural and installation-based work that interrogates the tensions between commercial dominance, human resilience, and the flickering agency we retain amid global dependency on fossil fuels. The title refers both to the psychological state of expectation—and to a future we are complicit in shaping, whether consciously or through apathy.

Initially conceived for the group exhibition Disposable Income, the project uses discarded commercial materials—packaging, advertising remnants, synthetic fabrics, and other corporate detritus—as both medium and message. Each piece functions as a mnemonic device designed to trigger reflection on the habitual nature of consumption, the illusion of choice within late capitalism, and how desire is manufactured and sustained.

By transforming these objects into symbolic and spatial interventions, ANCPT calls for a confrontation with the everyday rituals that uphold unsustainable systems. The works are part protest, part relic—testaments to both the violence of economic structures and the potential for small acts of reclamation.
